Jake's Team supports children and families battling cancer by empowering teams and individuals to raise childhood cancer awareness through fundraising campaigns that fund impactful research as well as support for those families.
Childhood cancer remains the leading cause of death by disease among children in the United States, with 43 children being diagnosed with cancer every day, and that number is steadily increasing each year. 1 out of every 8 children will not survive, but childhood cancer only gets 4% of the National Cancer Institute's budget with only 4 cancer treatments being specifically developed and approved for children in the last 20 years. Raising funds dedicated to childhood cancer research will help find cures, so these statistics start going down instead of up.
Jake’s Team goal is to raise funds to support childhood cancer research and fund Silver’s Siblings and Kim’s Cases, through team efforts.
Silver’s Siblings provides support and attention through donations to help siblings of cancer patients cope with their families stressful situation.
Kim’s cases donate one satin pillowcase to a child fighting cancer for every pillowcase that is sold.
